This
bird is a fine example of a bird who does not pass the test for being
show quality.
If you look carefully at his comb, you will see the last two points
have extra points growing on them. Another thing, one that you
cannot
see (unless you know what you're looking for), is his inability to hold
his tail in a straight line with his backbone. It flops slightly
but continually to one side.
The problem with his comb is a situation of losing points in his total
score but the problem with his tail is one that would have disqualified
him.
I do not have this bird any longer but I will from time to time have
birds that are of this approximate quality. If you do not plan to
show your birds and you just want a pretty, living decoration for your
yard, and you like the blues as much as I do, then this is the type of
bird that you will want. Just let me know and I can pick out a
bird like this for you.
Rest assured that I will never sell brother/sister pairs for
mating. I keep careful records and know who is from which mating.
To the right is a picture of one of the males I have for sale.
He is 5 months old in this picture and already, he is large
for his age. Below him is one of a hen which can go with
him.
