Hi,
My name is Ariel and this is my page with my birds.
First, a little about me in general.
I very much enjoy Ancient Egyptian history and I like Ancient Roman
history, also Jewish history. Mama calls me a History geek. I am also a
big fan of
Christian, Celtic, and Classical music.
Now, onto my birds. This is my
favorite Golden Campine. His name is Arpeggio. I have been
raising poultry for 3 years now. In July 2005 I got my first chickens
ever. I bought 6 Buff Minorcas from Sand Hill Preservation. I liked
them but they were very wild. I like colorful birds more and these were
all
one color, so I sold them. I then bought a trio of Old English Game
Bantams. I named the black hen Shadow first
off. When
I first put my new blue cockerel
in his
new coop, he was so happy he lowered one of his wings and spun in
circles so, I named him Spinner. My little blue hen
proved to be more difficult. I finally decided to call her Missy.
After several months, I still
couldn't decide what kind of large fowl I
wanted to raise. I would decide on one breed and the next day change my
mind and say I wanted something else. From the start, I had been
drooling over Golden Campines. But I read somewhere that Golden
Campines were very flighty birds. So I kept moving away from them.
Finally, Mama got frustrated and told me to just get Golden Campines.
So, I ordered 6 Golden Campines from a farm in Wyoming.
Arpeggio is one of these birds. I am so happy that Mama made me
get them! Mine aren't at all as flighty as I had read.
So this is my page. Go on through
it and enjoy yourself. Take a look at
all my beautiful babies.
